Chuck and his team came to our home and listened to what my wife and I envisioned our new deck overlooking the lake to be. The end result was more than we hoped for. Not only do we have a secure attractive structure but one that was finished within our budget and in a timely manner. Chuck's team will be called on again for future projects.

Finding a really good contractor to handle remodeling needs may be the most important and most difficult part of the job. Fortunately, when my husband and I met Chuck Hicks at a recent Remodeling Showcase, that problem was permanently solved. When we inquired about finishing a room over the garage, our Prudential Carolinas realtor would suggest only one person in whom she had complete confidence: Chuck Hicks. We wanted a person of integrity and one who could work independently since we would not be on site much of the time for consultation. We described what we wanted and Chuck made it a reality. The irony is that we had anticipated popping in occasionally to view the progress; however, because of illness, Chuck completely finished the room without our ever being on site. The day he showed us the finished product, January 9, 2006, he noticed a bit of painting that didn't meet his standards and determined that he would repaint the entire room. That's conscientious! Chuck performed excellent craftsmanship and we trusted him with full access to our home. The integrity quotient is huge when you let someone do work and Chuck was beyond reproach. It is hard to see how we could have been any more pleased with the work which Chuck Hicks and Icon Custom Builders did on our house last year. Our project consisted of the extensive renovation of two bathrooms, which now look great. Chuck worked with us on the design, mixing our ideas with his expertise, and gave us a price at the start which he honored at the end of the project. Throughout the project, Chuck constantly monitored the work, making sure that everything was done on time and correctly---and it certainly was.
